Ben Eine to create another Street Art Masterpiece at Jumeirah Beach Residence

Art lovers in the UAE invited to witness the creation of the artist’s latest mural as it is installed at JBR

Dubai, November 9, 2015: Dubai Properties, a leading Dubai-based real estate master developer known for the development and management of prominent destinations across the Emirate, has invited Ben Eine, one of the world’s most prolific and original street artists to create a new masterpiece at Jumeirah Beach Residence. In line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for Dubai as one of the world's most inspiring and culturally diverse cities, this unique project is one of a host of initiatives planned for JBR as Dubai’s quintessential outdoor destination for the month of November.

Ben Eine unconventional art evolved over time to become what is today one of the most instantly recognisable and distinct street signatures; single letters and cryptic statements presented in bold colours all elaborately crafted from stylized fonts. The artist expressed his excitement to having the chance to add colour to JBR Street he said, "Dubai is a really inspiring place for me and I’m incredibly proud and excited to be invited back by Dubai Properties and their associates to continue to share my outdoor work in the region. The growing awareness of street art in the UAE is something I’m privileged to be involved in and it’s fantastic to find partners like these who are able to bring these projects to fruition.”

Over three days, Ben Eine will be working on an original street art design for the South wall of the Murjan Cluster stairway at JBR. Art and culture lovers are all invited to witness the birth of the new masterpiece between Sunday 8 November and Wednesday 11 November.

Eine had previously created a remarkable 40-metre mural on the perimeter wall of the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi which was tagged by the British Ambassador to the UAE and His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. This was followed by a solo show at ARTSPACE DUBAI gallery, as part of Art Dubai 2015.

Eine’s work is currently held in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and The Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles. He was was catapulted to international fame when David Cameron presented one of his works to President Obama on his first official state visit to the White House.
