DP executes the highest standards of hse ensuring the safety of its communities’ residents

Dubai, UAE – 10 March 2016: Dubai Properties (DP), a leading Dubai-based real estate master developer and asset manager known for renowned destinations across the Emirate, reported the successful implementation of the highest standards of HSE in all its communities to ensure the safety of its residents, on Wednesday 9th of March 2016, following the unpredicted thunderstorm and rainfalls in the UAE.

Dubai Properties, in close coordination with TAZIZ and Ejadah, were swiftly located in the most affected com​munities, Remraam and Layan, which suffered from water floods and traffic disruption due to strong rain showers.

As a mitigation measure, the community management alerted in the morning all Remraam and Layan's residents, advising them to remain indoors for their own safety until the situation is addressed. The communities pumps were immediately put to use and tankers were promptly dispatched to manually extract the excess water. A large team of security experts and a cleaning services crew were positioned in all communities to answer to tenants' immediate needs. In Remraam a temporary access was opened from the construction site area in Remraam phase 2, offering an alternative safe entry and exit to the community.

Masood Al Awar, Chief Officer Commercial from Dubai Properties said, "The weather had a drastic impact across the UAE, and the country was significantly disrupted by the storm. We commend the efforts of the leadership, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on their unparalleled efforts in safeguarding the residents and visitors of the Emirate, and continuously advising them on the right measures."

The team worked tirelessly round the clock, under the rain, and opened a new road within few hours, to ensure the safety of our communities residents, which has always been a top priority for DP," Al Awar continued.

Paul Gyles, 3 years and a half tenant at Remraam community said: "The weather was as bad as anything I've seen over the past 13 years living in Dubai. However, despite the challenges there was huge team effort by Taziz, Idama Maintenance, Security and the Cleaners as well as the involvement of many residents all working together to manage through the situation and bring things back under control."​
